Open Positions
On occasion, Bodman PLC has positions available for legal support staff. These positions may include legal secretary, paralegal, records management, word processing, human resources, marketing, and reception.
The following positions are currently available:
Applications & End User Services Leader, Detroit office: Join the Bodman Information Technology team in supporting new and existing applications, documentation and application maintenance. This role will manage support resources from third party organizations, and will manage the Technical Support Analysts Team that provides End User Services. Responsibility includes overall customer support and satisfaction in the delivery of information technology services to both internal and external users. While functioning as a primary liaison for business systems, will make recommendations to improve processes and the use of systems for ensuring high client satisfaction.
The desired candidate must possess strong communication skills in order to lead team meetings, interact with attorneys and staff to understand needs and to design and deliver efficient solutions. Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrated problem solving skills in handling complex and unique technical issues with resolution strategies that are aligned to the business.
Minimum qualifications are eight years’ experience in applications and end user support. Experience supporting Exchange, Citrix, Active Directory & Group Policies, VMware, ScriptLogic and building a desktop image. Solid understanding of software architectures including client server and web applications. Prior experience with and basic understanding of applications interfaces and an understanding of high availability software architectures. Experience working in a legal firm or professional services organization desired, along with an undergraduate degree in information management, computer science, engineering, technology management, financial management or business management, along with related IT service management certifications or equivalent experience. Experience and demonstrated competencies in working with teams in a matrixed organization, building and nurturing relations and effective engagement resulting in successful outcomes preferred.

Paralegal, Litigation Practice, Detroit or Troy office: Performs a variety of duties to assist attorneys to whom assigned according to established policies and procedures. Maintains positive contact with clients and observes confidentiality of client matters. Reviews and analyzes materials in order to assist in case management. Conducts research and locates cases, depositions, opinions, reports and information related to the matter. Utilizes computerized litigation techniques and discovery management systems on a regular basis. Drafts pleadings. Establishes, organizes and maintains pleading files, trials/hearing binders, expert witness files and document indexes.
Requirements: Four year degree required, preferably in Social Sciences, Pre-Law, English or Business. Previous legal experience in litigation practices required. Solid computer experience preferably in Microsoft Office products. Experience with discovery management systems such as Summation, Relativity, or Concordance required. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
